There are many companies in the electric two wheeler market. The demand for two wheeler is increasing along with rising interest of the customers to buy green and less polluting products. As part of FAME II policy, the Government offers subsidy on two wheeler electric vehicles. Many states have declared further incentives on top of this. Maharashtra state offers the best incentives as of now. Hence buying a two wheeler in Maharashtra will be the cheapest option. 

What are the subsidies offered by Central Government? What is the criteria for availing subsidy for electric vehicle?

Central government offers subsidy of Rs 15000 / KWh of the vehicle rating with a cap of 40% cost of vehicle.

The vehicle eligibility criteria is as follows.
Type: L1/ L2
Max Range: 60 Km
Max Speed: 50 Km/hr
Comprehensive warrantee: 3 years
Max Battery capacity: 3 KWh

What is additional subsidy offered by Maharashtra Government on electric two wheeler?

Maharashtra offers additional subsidy of Rs 5000/KWh for all electric two wheelers. It also has early bird subsidy of 5000/KWh. This early bird subsidy is available till 31st December 2021. 

It also provides additional subsidy upto Rs 7000 if old two wheeler is scrapped for buying a new electric two wheeler. So Maharashtra government has made it very attractive for new electric two wheeler buyers.

 Adani Electricity (AEML) and Yulu come together to boost charging infrastructure In the next one and half years, Adani Electricity and Yulu will setup about 500 stations in various parts of Mumbai. These will provide facilities to change the battery (swap discharged battery with charged one) and for charging the battery. These stations will be open 24 hours a day to provide these services.
